This position is ideal for any junior candidate interested in starting an apprenticeship doing Refrigeration & HVAC. This candidate will gain experience into the company's operation, procedures and commonly used parts, to support their transition into a UA Local 787 apprenticeship and onto the field.
The warehouse is located in Scarborough and the hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Position Scope:
- Deliver & pick up parts from customer sites/suppliers.
- Support field mechanics with their jobs and truck stock.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Shipping & receiving.
- Tools monitoring.
- Inventory control.
- Shop Work.
- General housekeeping.
- Projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Valid G Class Driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Flexible to work evenings if required.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder, comfortable working with their hands.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic mechanical/technical / mathematical aptitude.
- Good attention to detail.
- Displays a willingness to learn.
- Innovative, thinks outside the box, proactively develops self-knowledge.
- Good focus on customer satisfaction.
- Previous exposure in Refrigeration & HVAC an asset.
